BETTY BOOP™ Betty Boop is a famous cartoon character given an unpredictable erotic charge in the US in the 1930s. She is the typical flapper, i.e. the fashion girl of the jazz period:  she carries the most trendy hairstyle of the time, short and fringed, wearing a small, succinct dress that leaves her shoulders bare and garters exposed, and she seems more than aware of her sex appeal. Despite her ”premature disappearance“ from the movie screens, the character has gained esteem and value over time, becoming a true cartoon myth in later times, maintaining her fame down to our day.
